Yesterday, me & dear Kelly went to Somerset 313 food court at 5th floor for lunch after our facial….we decided to try this Fragrant Hotpot 飘香麻辣香锅

as every time see people eating in a super big bowl like very shiok like that…hee

Can choose many variety such as different type of raw vegetable, seafood, raw meat (chicken, beef, pork) etc from the fridge in front of the stall (sell & charge by number of kg)…..& also different level of spiciness

we order 豆苗, sotong, prawn, beef, mushroom…..tell the stall staff its meant for two person & the lady staff in uniform will help us to gauge & grab the amount required

 

then the guy in white shirt (think is the boss of the stall) will take over to weight & calculate the price……

then they ask us take a seat first while they are cooking it with their special 四川 spices…. they will bring to us when ready

Total cost :S$23.90 with two bowl of rice

look at the bowl is super big, compare to the rice bowl beside it...haha

 

A very yummy & 开胃 food…we really enjoy eating as the prawn, sotong & others all very fresh 新鲜, love the mushroom, very 甜美 with the spice ….After eating, near the bottom of the bowl as most of the sauce accumulated, our mouth will feel abit 麻 & we buy ice lemon tea drink to drench our thirst …..overall a very nice food worth trying & we will definitely come eat again! :p

Just get a new protective case for my iPad ~ Its MACALLY clear protective case with silicon grip

more grand & much nicer than my previous temporary $19.90 silicon casing :p!

love this casing as it has a transparent back cover that can reveal the nice Apple logo behind ….& its very sleek & slimfit so look more professional.

My iPhone new casing is SwitchEasy Nude, buy as feel my previous SwitchEasy Rebel Serpent casing   some how will peel off screen protector at the side & scratch the phone.

Also get attracted to this a nice lime green color & its the slim fit design that make my iPhone look more elegant

To play this game, you need shoot the bird forwards by adjusted the catapult direction

so that the bird can fly towards to hit the rock & green pig

when bird approach the rock, hit the touch screen so that it can get speed up & strength become more powerful

bird need to hit the rock & get to hit the pig then can score marks

When going to higher level you will have more different type of bird to used for shooting

& the green pig will be more difficult to get hit…..

These pig will “laugh” in very 嚣张 tone if you fail to hit them

A very cute & funny game which get both of us addicted…this game has version for both iPhone & iPad….but playing on iPad is more fun as bigger screen…..can carry the iPad & lay comfortably on bed to play…….very shiok…….hee

So happy when I finally received my iPad on Tues ! Yeah! My new gadget!:)

although didn’t managed to get it on my birthday, I’m still very excited when it delivered, quickly & happily unwrap it from the box

what a masterpiece: so slim & lightweight ( less than 1 kg) & now I can use it to surf net, just look like a super big version of an iphone, but same, it’s slim & elegant…can bring out also as much lighter than a laptop….

It comes with its white data cable & charger….Also with a nice apple plastic bag, material quite good & look nice too…will keep as can bring out to use……:p

quickly go grab a screen protector for it the next day then try on it on my mifi….haha my ipad with silicon casing ($19.90)I’ve purposely bought on last Sunday to standby before my beloved ipad arrived….has to get ready to protect my ipad from scratches mah…hee

can access internet quite smooth & run quite fast….with its big screen, read storybook or play games on it is very shiok….resolution is very good…..after playing with it for quite long & glad to see that battery life still quite long! (more durable than laptop)….. Now my next target is to grab a nicer & better material casing  & also the “must-get” cam kit, can’t wait to get hold of it soon !

Chosen this place as it’s near to mom place & also coz my sis & brother-in-law tried the food before commented food taste not bad. Heard from them, this restaurant serving authentic nice Teochew dishes

Order following dishes:

1) Braised Sea Cucumber with Mushroom & Broad Beans (not bad)

2) Yam chicken claypot (this is speciality dish that day)

3) Steamed Pomfret (just so- so & the big mushroom taste abit bitter duno why leh, not very fantastic as maybe fish not fresh? Or coz we only manage to eat those near stomach part so can’t really conclude this dish nice or not….Prefer those eaten at other restaurant where the sauce alot, can scoup & drink one )

4) Four Treasures Beancurd ( ok not bad just that the meat taste abit 淡)

5) Chye Poh Kway Teow ( feel it taste abit like hawker carrot cake but very yummy just that abit salty due to chye poh bah)

6) Ngoh Hiang & Prawn Ball ( taste just so-so, feel abit too dried, eat liao looking for water to drink)

7) Braised Goose ( tender & tasty, got toufu beneath the goose)

 

8) prawn omelette ( ok not bad quite tasty)

9) vegetable, 波菜 (not too bad just that abit salty)

Too busy eating forget to take photo of the vegetable…hee

10）Deserts

  a) Yam paste with pumpkin (this is good, not too sweet & grind til very fine)

 

b)water chestnut (ok not bad, quite nice too)

Total bill: S$286.90

Overall food is not bad lor, just that their food tend to be abit more saltish while some abit 淡, as I’m not a Teochew  so not sure is it 特色 of Teochew dishes……..although the restaurant outlook dun look attractive but good thing is that food serving is quite fast…..not like some place which you need wait very very long ….also the table they provide is bigger so can accumulate more than 10 person including kids……staff service is average but they clear plate & replenish drink quite fast & frequent….quite packed during lunch time….but lucky sister got help book the place.

On labour day after having dinner at Sushi Tei at VivoCity, we just walk around & think of finding somewhere to sit down to have a drink…….

happen to see this Max Brenner Chocolate bar which is quite near to BROTZEIT that we used to patron on special occasions…

As it look kind of cozy & never try before, we decided to go in have a drink inside….

once we sit down, the waiter will open this bottle of water for us to pour into our glass of ice to drink

think have promo using American Express card but too bad we both dun have

flip through the menu, can see got sell hot or cold drink (such as coffee, tea, hot chocolate, milkshake, smoothie etc) also has got sell snacks such as waffles, crepes, chocolate fondue etc which most of them associated with chocolate….

We turn to a page called SUCKAO & we both get attracted to cute cup which look abit like egg shape!

He decided to have Italian thick hot choc while I decided to get Choco-Pops (hot chocolate with munchy choco  wafer balls ~ sound interesting to me) & the Banana split Waffles (vanilla bourbon ice cream, milk chocolate truffle. caramelized rice krispies)

the drink comes with choice of dark, milk or white chocolate, we both choose milk chocolate

but when our drink come, we kind of shocked as it look different from what we have expected!

check with waiter then know only one particular drink called Suckao has that cute eg shaped cup & need “Do it yourself” to drink, we kind if get confused with the menu page & thought all items under the SUCKAO page come with the cute egg shape cup…

I stirred my drink ~ Choco-Pops  & finally choco balls appear…haha look abit like sago on those chinese dessert such as Cendol

both the hot drink are nice, feel good to have hot chocolate at nite…..& i’m very satisfied with my choice, love the choco balls in the drink ~ taste good & crunchy…haha

Banana split Waffles (S$15) 

This waffle simply taste fantastic! Although we not vey hungry we finish it very fast athough serving quite alot…..waffles is crispy, caramelized rice krispies very yummy, the choco sauce, ice cream,  strawberry, banana all are great…just that ice cream get melted easily lor…

but the hot chocolate drink I can’t finished as we already have a very full dinner & hot chocolate are normally very filling lor….

Lucky we come early as later more people coming & around 10pm start to have quene waiting to get in, but they have few tables outside the cafe labelled with the bald man head logo nearby around the passage way……..so not too bad……

Will defintely come back again for the yummy waffles & drinks!

When our long waiting 『Iron Man 2』movie launch,  we are very excited & quickly go catch it…..after watching its part 1 last year, we are very amazed by its cool visual effect & how high tech is Tony Shark (casted by Robert Downey JR ) house, his working robots & the iron man robot armor suit he is wearing…..we been looking forward for this part 2

 

so yesterday, fri, we quickly browse through the movie website, planning to book a ticket for tomorrow which happen to be labour day & also his birthday…… initially plan to catch it on at big cinema: GV Max at Vivocity as bigger screen &more shiok ……but all are either fully taken or seats left is very front row all the way to midnite! so we decided to catch it at Downtown East which is nearer…. but this movie is super hot….Cathay tickets also selling like hot cake & left either only 1st two rows or only have slots at smaller cinema…& the cathay movie website are damn slow….due to heavy traffic..

but lucky we manage to grab a central couple seat at bigger cinema at DownEast. As the movie time is 2.10am which mean its already next day & its on Labour day when we catch it.

And when I checked through my old blog later, I realised last year we also catch Iron man at Downtown East on midnite, so also happen to fall on next day which is also Labour day! …so 巧 one!

This round, has two attractive female actress, Gwyneth Paltrow as usual as Pepper Potts & also Scarlett Johansson as an secret agent, Natalie Rushman / Natasha Romanoff……

In this part 2, Tony Shark  has new enemies, the bad government officials, Senator Stern (casted by Garry Shandling) & Justin Hammer (casted by Sam Rockwell) which try to force him to share his technology with the military

And also another enemy, a Russian brilliant physicist, Ivan Vanko (casted by Mickey Rourke) which want to seek revenge on him which he believed that Tony Shark’s dad, Howard Stark has 陷害 his dad which was one of the top physicist …. 

Ivan Vanko has created the wielding energy whips (as shown below) is very powerful

and at this time, Tony Shark  realise that the magnetic chest plate (glowing Arc Reactor shown on his chest in picture below) which he had invent to keep himself alive also poisoning himself ……..& his toxicity level is getting higher each day & may died soon…..

worst thing is going to happen when Justin Hammer rescue Ivan Vanko from jail as to get him to join as allies against Tony Shark 

but lucky he has his best friend, Lt. Col. James Rhodes (casted by Don Cheadle, but in Part 1 is casted by another actor, Terrence Howard) to partner him to fight his enemy….

and also Nick fury (casted by Sam Jackson), Agent of S.H.E.L.D

which help Tony Shark to “figure” out how how to contruct a better technology to keep himself alive using stuffs Howard Stark has left for his son to continue…..

he is also the one that send the secret agent, Natalie Rushman to help Tony Shark 

Overal, although feel that its not as fantastic as Part1 but still a great show worth to watch!
